Dorothy was born to Louis and Viola Landry on September 22nd, 1932, in Port Arthur TX and lived there until she moved to Groves Texas in 1980. She graduated from Bishop Byrne High School and Port Arthur Business College and was an active member of Bishop Byrne Colleen's Alumni. Dorothy was a longtime member of St. Peters Church, served as Eucharistic Minister and Lecturer for many years. Dorothy retired from All- Phase Electrical Supply after 14 years. She was a strong advocate for dog rescue and adopted many shelter dogs over the years. Dorothy will be deeply missed and always cherished by her loving family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Larry Stelly, her husband Spike Bevilacqua, and her parents.
Those left to cherish Dorothy's memory are her children Buster Stelly and wife Kim of Port Neches, Texas, Dale Stelly and wife Kathy of Nederland Texas, Donna Stelly of Humble, Texas, Debra Stelly Hale and husband Billy of Port Arthur, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Stelly and wife Lacie, Tracey Stelly, Chris Hale and Cara Hale; great granddaughter, Paisley Stelly, Autumn Sinquefield and brother, James A. Landry and his wife Cho from Washington State.
Pallbearers honoring Dorothy will be Ryan Stelly, Mike Vidrine, David Vidrine, Bobby Mouton, Dylan Flosi and Eddie Oliver.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, located at 4841 39th St, Port Arthur, Texas, on January 5, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A Catholic Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Dorothy will take place at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, located at 2006 Nall St, Port Neches, TX, on January 6, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Dorothy will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park, located at 3900 Twin City Highway, Groves.
