Elsa White

Elsa White, 62, of Port Arthur, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Beaumont. She was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, to the late Juan Pablo and Angel Gonzales. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Elsa could best be described as a loving mother who put her family first. She gave to others before herself and would always help someone in need.

Elsa was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Juan Valentin Briseno.

Elsa is survived by her sons, Jose Daniel Resendiz, Timothy White, Jose Angel Resendiz, Robert White, Jose Hugo White, Jose Luis White and Ramiro Lara, Jr.; daughters, Maria Guadalupe Gallego, Maria Briseno, and Isabel Pastriana Fuentes; brothers, Ricardo Gonzales, Reynaldo Gonzales, and Cristobal Gonzales; sisters, Victoria Gonzales, Juana Gonzales, Guadalupe Gonzales and Rosa Maria Gonzales; 38 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, January 2, 2012, from 5:00p.m. To 8:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur. Funeral Services will be held on January 3, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
