Born in Beaumont, Texas, Geneva was the beloved daughter of Annie Bell Burle and Albert Etue. She was a devoted mother to her two children, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
Geneva was well known in the community as the longtime manager of the original Sartin’s Seafood in Sabine Pass. Her passion for the restaurant was unmistakable, and she poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming space for family, friends, and locals to enjoy good food and lasting memories.
A devout Catholic, Geneva’s faith was a guiding light in her life. She carried herself with grace, kindness, and unwavering strength, drawing on her spirituality through every joy and challenge.
She found great peace by the sea and enjoyed many cherished days at the beach. Her love for the ocean reflected her personality, deep, calming, and always full of life.
Geneva’s legacy of love, hard work, and faith will live on in all who knew her.
A memorial service will be announced by the family in the coming days.
Geneva is survived by her daughter Suzy Buehrle; and her son Pierre Broussard; her brother Howard Etue; her partner Bob Branshaw.
Geneva was preceded in death by her father Albert Etue and her mother Annie Bell Burle.
Ms. Broussard also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and a host of family and friends to carry on her memory.
