Jaime William Hernandez-Miranda

Jaime Miranda Hernandez Sr., 62, of Port Arthur passed away Friday, June 13, 2014. Jaime was born March 14, 1952 in Managua, Nicaragua to Hermogenese and Daysi Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez was a very loving and giving Christian. He loved being with his family and spending a lot of time with his grandchildren. To his grandchildren he will always be remembered as a “Silly Grandpa”.

Jaime is preceded in death by his father, Hermogenes Hernandez; son, Douglas Hernandez; and a sister, Violeta Castillo. He is survived by his mother, Daysi Hernandez; wife, Concepcion Hernandez; sons, Jaime Hernandez, Jr. and wife, Karilla; and Daniel Hernandez; daughters, Elizabeth Hernandez and husband, Jose Luis Ceja, Anna Hernandez, Mariana Torres and husband, Jose Alberto, and Gloria Hernandez; brothers, Mario Hernandez and wife Herenia; and Antonio Hernandez; sister, Maria Villareyna. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and other family members.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a Prayer Service to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Hernandez will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
