Jose David Castro, 50, of Port Arthur, passed away on February 29, 2012 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. He was born on August 19, 1961 to Jesus and Blanca Castro in Rancho los Llanos, Chiapas, Mexico.
Jose had been a resident of Port Arthur for 20 years after moving here from Mexico and a member of Templo Shalom Church. He enjoyed mechanics, watching wrestling and cooking BBQ.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
His survivors include 4 children, Adelhi Zamora and husband Gerardo, Jose David Castro, Agheo Castro and wife Maria, Johnathan Castro all of Port Arthur; 3 brothers, Oscar Castro and wife Laura of Port Arthur, Daniel Castro of Port Arthur, Isai Castro and wife Candice of North Carolina; 2 sisters, Merium Sanchez and husband Jesus of Mexico, Isabell Pina and husband Alberto of Port Arthur and 4 grandchildren.
A gathering of his family and friends will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Templo Shalom Church, 3948 Proctor, Port Arthur.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery, Port Arthur.
