

Leo Bacon, 82, of Port Arthur passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur. Leo was born, May 17, 1932, in Port Arthur to the late Lawrence and Adele Bacon. Leo was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and will be greatly missed by many in his community. Leo was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus #3491 of Groves. He retired from Gulf Oil Refinery after 35 years of service and enjoyed golf.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gertrude; sister, Betty Lou Babineaux; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Bacon; and son, James Pierre Bacon.
Leo is survived by sons, Lawrence Paul Bacon and wife Teresa of Port Arthur, Daniel Lucius Bacon and wife Betty of Port Arthur, and Vicky Elizabeth Hardin and husband Ronald of Groves; grandchildren, Lisa Hardin, Sarah Hill, Dawn Castillo, Mindy Anderson, Ronnie Hardin, Jr., Holly Bacon, Windy Patterson, Daniel Bacon, Wesley Hardin, Tori Hardin, Rylee Bacon, Joshua Franks, Michael Carcara; 29 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with services to begin at 12:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
