

Michael David Delgadillo, Sr., 59, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Mr. Delgadillo was born June 30, 1951, in Port Arthur, Texas to Santos Gomez Delgadillo, Sr. and Juanita Delgadillo. Michael had a passion for music; he received his first drum set at the age of 14. He played in numerous bands throughout his life, beginning with the Blue Crystals in 1965. Michael’s musical ventures led to his performing with many great talents throughout the region and beyond.
Michael is survived by his mother, Juanita Delgadillo of Port Arthur, Texas; son, Mario Delgadillo and his wife, Tish of Orange, Texas; daughters, Priscilla and Mikayla Delgadillo both of Conroe, Texas; brothers, Danny Delgadillo, Benny Delgadillo, Charlie Delgadillo, Santos Delgadillo, Jr. and Joe Delgadillo; sisters, Rosemary Wiley of McKinney, Texas, Sona Thibodeaux of Port Neches, Texas and Carolyn Morgan of Orange, Texas and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Santos Delgadillo, Sr.; son, Michael Delgadillo, Jr., and brother, Mark Delgadillo.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, from 5 p.m., until 8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at 10 a.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU unit at The Medical Center for their care. We also want to personally thank Dr. Saeed Ally for his dedication, compassion and kindness he extended to our family.
