Barbara Henry

Barbara was born in New Brunswick, NJ and graduated from East Brunswick High School. She has resided with her family in Port St. Lucie, FL since 1976.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, David Henry, and her three children: Pamela Powers (Kevin) of Melbourne, FL, Tracy Pogue (Brian) of Melbourne, FL and David Henry (Deanna) of Port St. Lucie, FL. Barbara was a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren: Nichole Orr-Burks (Brad) of Winterville, GA, Alexandra Powers, Matthew Pogue and Nicholas Pogue of Melbourne, FL. She also leaves behind two adoring sisters: Penny Compton (Walt) of Palm City, FL, Susan Burton Minor (Ken) of Palm City, FL and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family. Most weekends were filled with sporting events, family gatherings and lots of laughter. Her pride in her grandchildren's accomplishments was obvious to everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, George L. Burton, Jr, and her mother, Cora Burton Twiggs.

She will be forever missed and loved by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL Saturday, October 19, 2013. Visitation will begin at 12:00PM, followed by a 1:00PM, Service. Fellowship will be held immediately after the Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1000 Dunn Road, Ft. Pierce, FL 34981 in her memory.
