Don was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Carol. He is survived by his sister Nancy Anderson Bell, daughter Debra and his son Edward, and daughter-in-law, Denise.
Following his service in the Army National Guard, Donald worked for a number of years as a general foreman for Asplunduh Tree Company.
A self-taught handyman, Don's hobbies included visiting a multitude of travel destinations, playing cards and a love of animals.
Services through Aycock Funeral Home will be held privately.
