James L Veatch

Born in Schenectady, NY, James grew up in Greenwood and Indianapolis, IN. He resided in Port St. Lucie, FL since 1998, moving from New Jersey.

Mr. Veatch was a veteran in the US Army and stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground in the Hospital Pharmacy.

James was a Research Pharmacist licensed in Indiana, Virginia, Delaware and New Jersey. He worked as a Research Pharmacist in Human and Veterinary medicine for seven different Pharmaceutical companies before retiring from Hoechst-Cleanse in 1998.

He was a member of the Midport Seventh Day Adventist Church where he served as Deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Josephine Barnes Veatch and Dolph Martin Veatch.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patricia Collings Veatch of Port St. Lucie, FL; two sons, Russell (Rusty) Paul Veatch of Stuart, FL, Randall James Veatchand partner Brent Allen Robert of Indianapolis, IN; two daughters, Lynn Anne Purves and her husband John of Exton, PA, Lisa Gayle Devine and her husband Gene of Pompano Beach, FL; one brother, Dolph Martin Veatch, II of Ormond Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, Kendal Paige Duncan of Palm City, FL, Morgan Brie Duncan of Exton, PA, Alexis Leigh Veatch of Stuart, FL, Louden Veatch of Pompano Beach, FL, Vance Emerson Devine of Pompano Beach, FL, Jessica Veatch Jalil of Port St. Lucie, FL, Mandy Veatch Burch of Stuart, FL; three great-grandchildren; nieces Courtney Simmone Veatch of Ormond Beach, FL, Cathy Burdette of Arlington, VA, Morgan Ashley Harrell of Ormond Beach, FL; and nephews Donald Veatch of Ormond Beach, FL, Richard James Veatch of Springfield, VA.

A Memorial Service will be Friday, June 7, 2013, 1:00PM at the Midport Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1800 SE Veterans Memorial Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL.
