

He was born in Brooklyn, New York. After serving in the United States Marine Corp. during WWII, Jerry worked as an Architectural Draftsman. He loved books and art. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family. He used to coach his sons’ Little League ball club. He was a people person and will be sorely missed by all those he touched. Jerry was known to always walk the neighborhood and talk with anybody who would listen to him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Monroe Freund.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Freund, of Port St. Lucie; sons, Marc Freund, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Kim Rud-Petersen, of Denmark; daughter, Wendy Pennello (Joe), of New York; grandchildren, Elana Penello and Sophie and Victoria Rud-Petersen; and nurse, Kerron Holding, of Port St. Lucie.
A Funeral Service will take place Monday August 31, 2015 at 10 am at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, Florida 34983. Interment with Military Honors will follow on Monday August 31, 2015 at 1:30 pm at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
