Aunt Josephine was one of the nicest, sweetest, kindest, most considerate and loving person I have ever met. She welcomed me into the Mazzella family right away. She was an angel.

An ode to my beautiful cousin.:  u were more than a cousin to me, more like a sister and a best friend.  I cherish all the times we had together, as little girls, then teens and as women.  We shared many secrets together, happy times and sad times and I never remember a harsh word between us. I wish we had more time to be together but one day we will!  you are very special to me and I will love u forever!  Until we meet again RIP!🙏❤️🌹

Aunt Jo, you will be greatly missed. I will forever cherish the memories you've given me and been a part of for all of my life. Thank you for always opening your door to me when I was sick, and mom needed a place to drop me off. You were always ready with some ginger ale, crackers, and a vhs of Bye Bye Birdie. Your hospitality, kindness and love have always shone bright, but that's no surprise with the group of people you surrounded yourself with. That same group of people you're now surrounding yourself with again. Give our loved ones who have already passed on our love and prayers. We'll see you again when it's our time. When I first moved to Florida and joined St Lucie parish, I began teaching CCD. My first class was kindergarten and my aide was Josephine. That was in 1992. She was warm and wonderful and the children loved her. That Christmas, Josephine gifted me an angel statue. That gesture led to years of treasured friendship and a now large angel collection! I will miss her dearly.

Josephine Mazzella was a kind, caring and loving lady.  When I first met her at my wedding, to the other Frank Mazzella, (her nephew), she greeted me like I was already family. We were pen pals for many years after.  She will definitely be missed.
I would like to say to Frankie, that the New York Mazzella's, Frank, Dan and Marijo,  are so sorry for his loss. What a wonderful woman she was.


Aunt Jo, I will miss you so much! You were always so kind hearted, sweet and loving. I have so many wonderful memories with you. I always enjoyed my visits to Port Saint Lucie when I lived in Florida, and was looking forward to being able to spend more time with you again. I will always cherish those times and keep your memory in my heart!  Love always Ari ❤️

I will always be thankful for the time I got to spend with Josephine. She welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like part of her family. She was a kind, loving, generous, sweet with a little spunk and sass. I wish I could have spent more time with her and seen her once more before she left us. Oh my Dear Sweet Aunt Jo,  I will miss you so much!  Although we lived far apart and didn’t get to see each other that often, we did talk frequently on the phone.  Our phone conversations were always full of past heart warming family memories as well as our current life events.
