Today marks five years since you left, and not a day goes by that I don’t feel your absence. You were my guide, my strength, my safe place, and my greatest blessing. The hole you left in my heart will never be filled, but the love you gave me lives on in everything I do.

It is with heavy heart that I found this only today and my most heartfelt condolences go out to Carol, Samantha, and Sasha and all of Uncle Pete's loved ones.  So many life circumstances had me lose many priorities in life and not making it one to keep connected with this family of mine was a huge mistake.  Samantha, i just found the letter and pictures u sent me in 1994 and it gotten lost in moves and I just found it, however all the phone numbers do not seem to work. I happened upon the news of Peter's passing this week and wanted to send my deepest condolences to Samantha, Hannah, and Sacha.  Peter Zubrisky was such a funny, endearing, and lively spirit who had a knack for making people feel welcome.   His zest for life and the love he had for each of you was unparalleled.  I hope that you find comfort in his love and the memories you shared as you grieve the loss of your dad (granddad).
 


Although Pete’s  journey on earth has ended and in this time of grief & sorrow the kids and I take comfort he has crossed into eternal life.
53 years have simply flown! I recall the days when in my early 20’s Pete taught me how to knock on “doors” to sell educational books. In doing so, Pete laid the foundations to my being confident and successful in life at every level, as he did with many others in Singapore, Malaysia HongKong and the wider world.There was never a dull moment when he was around.  
Fond memories of our family time filled with making music, dancing, sports celebrating life’s milestones with the children, brothers, sisters, friends and their children to whom he was uncle Pete. Singapore, Malaysia, Massachusetts,LA, Switzerland, Paris, Madrid, Scandinavia, New York, Sweden , London and lastly the Cotswolds - the good times, bacon & eggs & whiskey never ceased-the big pond was always only a flight away!
Pete was a tower of love and strength for our kids from babies through to (dare I say!)Middle age-to his last breath when Jesus took his hand and led him into heaven.
We grief, but taking comfort in knowing Pete is where there is no more pain or sorrow, no more tears and death.( Revelation 21:4).

What can I say about you, Pete?
You were a very good friend and longtime Spang flower pot agent in the USA.
I myself first met you in the mid 90s.
At that time you still had a moustache.
You  were present at almost all our visits in the USA, happy to accompany us to customer appointments, at trade fairs and to garden centers and markets.
You also always enjoyed very much coming to Germany, also for seeing your old friend Hans Jürgen Grebert (who you always called Mr. Grebert).
It is a sad thing that you passed away, with you an original went missing.
And it's a pity, especially that you couldn't come back to Germany one last time as you always wanted to.
You can't say it more fittingly than Antje Acht has characterized you. Your incomparable positive attitude towards all things will always remain in my memory.

Pete, it was an honor and such a pleasure to work with you for more than 23 years in the pottery world. In those years I learned from your experience and your patient assistance to expand my English vocabulary is so much appreciated.

Your visits to Germany – and the many stories which originated from these trips – will be unforgotten. I got to know you as one of the most kindhearted and generous, positive and cheerful people I ever met.

My condolences to Samantha and Sacha for the loss of your Dad and to Hanna for the loss of your grandfather. I remember how much pride Pete had in his voice when he spoke about all of you.  I know you will miss him. 

What I loved about Pete is that he refused to admit he was old.  Maybe that is the secret to a long life like he had. He was always upbeat and positive.  As a salesman, he never took a “no” as a “no” but as a “not now” and kept after it.

I know what a great passion he had for the pottery business and how many friends he made around the world in that business.  It still blows my mind that even in his 80’s he kept selling pots!  

I will always have a smile when I think about Pete. We shared many laughs over the years and he always had a great story or joke to tell. May he rest in piece. 

Peter is an example of how to live life to the fullest. I have known him for upwards of 45  years. 
He was caring, knew how to enjoy life and always was happy to share.
He was once my brother-in-law. To say he was really a friend would be a shortfall. He was family.
I was impelled to see him at his home in Pt. St Lucie.  It was worth the drive from Orlando. He was already unwell but was so hospitable and is his old form.
He had was very fortunate to have had good innings as the English will say.
Peter you are in my daily prayer.
God bless your soul.

Thank you Pete Zubrisky for allowing me to have been a part of your life for a short time. You taught me a lot in all of our working endeavors.
