Sebastian Joseph "Sonny" DelDuca, 88, of Port St. Lucie, FL; died Sunday July 8, 2018 in Port St. Lucie. Sonny was born in Brooklyn, NY son of the late Anthony and Carmela Mannella DelDuca. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of Corporal.
Sonny was a carpenter by trade and was an expert cabinet maker and loved working with wood. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of Port St. Lucie in addition, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12159 and a member of the Fourth Degree Assembly 3117 as well as A Pro Life Representative of the Knights of Columbus at Holy Family Catholic Church. Sonny was also a handyman and carpenter for the Church where he made Chalice Boxes and Flag Boxes.
Sonny loved cooking, spending precious time with his family and was very generous to active duty Military by providing telephone cards.
He was preceded in death by a son Joseph Anthony DelDuca and a Daughter In Law Pamela DelDuca.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary DelDuca of Port St. Lucie; Sons Francis DelDuca and Sebastian DelDuca Jr., both of New Jersey; Daughter Mary DelDuca of New Jersey; a grandson Alan DelDuca of New Jersey; Brothers Joseph and Anthony DelDuca and a Sister Louise Corraro all of New Jersey.
There will be a visitation on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2-5 PM at the Aycock Funeral Home 1504 SE Floresta Drive Port St. Lucie with a Prayer Service at 4:00PM. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Catholic Church Port St. Lucie on Monday July 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment with Military Honors will be at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL at 1:45 PM.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributuions to be made to the Pregnancy Care Center 1119 Delaware Ave. Ft. Pierce, FL 34950.
