Sharon T Giersdorf

She attended and graduated from Catholic Academy in Norwalk, CT with top honors and valedictorian of the class. She married and mothered two sons, Michael and Thomas Moulton. She remarried, mothering a daughter, Jennifer Martin.

She then attended the University of Norwalk, Ct, again with honors and valedictorian of her class. She received degrees in Business and Secretarial Sciences.

Sharon divorced years later and moved to Stuart, FL, where she was employed by Pratt Whitney Aircraft in West Palm Beach as an executive secretary to the department head of Product-Drafting and later secretary of the HST advances supersonic engine programs. It was at Pratt Whitney that Sharon and Rodney Giersdorf met.

After being together for four years, Sharon and Rodney married on February 14, 1988 in Gatlinburg, TN. Sharon married into a large family of her 3 children and Ron’s 3 sons. Sharon was glue that kept their large family together.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Rodney Giersdorf of Port St. Lucie, FL; one daughter, Jennifer Osgood of Sturbridge, Mass; two sons, Thomas Moulton of Stuart, FL, Michael Moulton of Bridgeport, Mass; three step-sons, Gary Giersdorf of Mt. Airy, NC, Kenneth William Giersdorf of NC, and Glenn Giersdorf of Pottstown, PA.

She will be missed by her grandchildren, Taylor Hancock, John and Michael Giersdorf; and great-grandchildren Ryan and Jason Osgood.

Sharon had planned to move to property in the North Carolina Mountains when she suddenly passed away from heart failure on January 30, 2013. She was 66 years of age.

Sharon will be missed and never replaced in our hearts and minds.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 5, 2013, 4:00PM-5:00PM, with a Service following at 5:00PM at the Aycock Funeral Home Chapel in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Burial will be at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
