

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Shawn Eugene Martin, who entered eternal rest on May 30, 2026, at the age of 56. Shawn was born on May 14, 1970, and spent his life creating lasting memories with family and friends through his kindness, humor, and unwavering loyalty.
Shawn proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Corporal during his four years of service. He later continued his military service with two years of service in the United States Army. The values of honor, courage, and commitment guided him throughout his life and remained a source of pride to him and those who loved him.
Following his military service, Shawn worked on Alaska's North Slope in the oil fields, where he was known for his strong work ethic, determination, and dedication. He earned the respect of his coworkers and approached life with resilience and perseverance.
Shawn found his greatest happiness in spending time with family and friends. He loved fishing, camping, bowling, cooking, and grilling. Whether he was sharing stories around a campfire, spending a day on the water, or preparing a meal for loved ones, Shawn's warmth and generous spirit brought people together.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Diana Martin; his son, Brayden; his mother, Lillian Tinsley; his parents, Fred Martin and Marcia Martin; his siblings, Angela Hobbs, Mike Anderson, Trenton Tinsley, and Travis Tinsley; along with many extended family members, dear friends, fellow veterans, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and friendship.
Shawn will be remembered for his strength, sense of humor, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the countless memories he created and the many lives he touched.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Shawn's spirit will live on in every fishing trip, every family gathering, every campfire, and every story shared in his honor.
Semper Fidelis. Rest easy, Marine. Your duty is done, your watch has ended, and you will be loved and remembered always.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 Southeast Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983, US, on June 10, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Committal Service will take place at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Wellington, FL 33449, US, on June 11, 2026 at 10:00 am.
