Vincenzo Lombardozzi was born on March 21st,1931 in Isernia, Campobasso Italy to Antonio and Catarina (nee Ensonia). He learned his father’s trade as a plumber and ran the family business until he married and relocated to America.
He met and married Marie Christina Uzzolino in Isernia, and the couple married on august 25th, 1955. Marie went back home to America, while Vincenzo served in the Italian army for one year before he could make his voyage to the USA to be with his bride. It took five long years, but Vincenzo studied hard to become an American citizen.
Vincenzo resided in Newark, new jersey and worked at a fur factory until 1970. He was then employed by McGraw Edison corporation in Bloomfield, NJ, where he worked as a pipe fitter. In 1980, he moved to port St. Lucie Florida and began a new life with Marie, not retiring, but worked for Frances Langford on the property in Jensen Beach, FL. As a mechanic. After that, he worked at the village green elementary school in port St. Lucie as a maintenance mechanic until his retirement.
He and Marie were blessed with five children, Catherine, Anthony, Peter, Vincent and Francis. His wife Marie passed away in July of 1999.
Vincenzo has a brother, Pasqualino (Nino), who resides in Nutley, new jersey. He also had two sisters, anna and manna and a half sister Antonetta, brother Alessandro; Gaetano and Casamino (half brothers), still in Italy. His daughter Catherine and son-in-law Thomas; grandchildren: Thomas, Seth and Matthew, first cousin, Alessandro Ronca.
Everyone met my dad, loved him and laughed at his sheepish smile. He always made sure you ate along with him, as that is the Italian way. He will be missed by all those who knew him. He resided at Paradise Care Cottage Assisted Living before they closed in July of 2025.
I want to thank Juliette from Hospice, for the love and care she gave him there. He then resided at Life Care Center, in Port St. Lucie, FL. Until his passing.
I pray you are looking down on us now, daddy, and are helping Jesus to build our mansions so we can be with you again. I love you.
