Arline Mary Chaffee

Arline Mary Chaffee, 87, of Lewiston passed away on Thursday April 9, 2026, after a period of declining health. She was born March 27, 1939, in Laconia NH to the late Gerard and Rose Dion. She was educated in Catholic schools in Laconia. She loved word searches, Jigsaw puzzles, her grandkids and helping others, and her beloved cat Coppa.

She is survived by her daughter Velvet Veilleux and husband Jim of Bowdoinham ME, 3 grandsons Tom and Partner Karen of Portland ME, Will and Partner Lisa of Saco ME, Matt and wife Genesis of NJ, 2 step granddaughters Carollyn and Ashley, and 2 step grandsons EJ and James. 15 Great grandchildren, a niece, Tina and husband Tim, and a special nurse Denise.

She was predeceased by her parents, a sister Maryanne Page, twin sons John and Jonathan, a niece Vickie and her cat Coppa.

A Celebration of life will be held on April 26 at 3pm at the Lisbon Falls Baptist Church in Lisbon Falls ME. A graveside services will be held at a later date in Laconia NH.
