Audrey Morrison

Audrey Irene Morrison age 83 passed peacefully on January 3, 2026 at her home with her family at her bedside. Audrey was born on June 7, 1942, to Helen Nash Rogerson (Perkins) and Basil S. Rogerson, Basil passed away when Audrey was 2 years old. Her mother Helen married Leslie Perkins in 1950. Leslie was the father that raised and cared for Audrey. Audrey graduated from Greely institute 1961with her high school diploma. She then went on to meet her husband Ralph E. Morrison; they were married on September 23, 1961. She was married for 58 years before the passing of her husband in September of 2019.

Audrey held a couple careers over her life-time, she started and managed her own upholstery business so she could stay home and raise her children. she then worked briefly at Kings department store before taking a position at L.L Bean's returns department. Audrey worked for L.L Bean for 20 + years before her retirement in 2009. Audrey always made time for her family and was most proud of being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She helped to raise her grandchildren, caring for them when their parents returned to work. Audrey had the most infectious smile and she loved everyone. She was always willing to be the mom and Grammie that you needed. She was so loved. Mom was so generous with her time, love, and wisdom. Her love of baking was known among her family and friends, and we all had our favorites.

Audrey loved to travel and was an avid bingo player. She was known to take a few trips to the casino. She loved her Disney vacations and the memories she made with her grandchildren. Our Disney trips will not be the same without someone being run over in the scooter (we love you mom).

Audrey is pre-deceased by her husband Ralph E. Morrison, Sister Alona (Tootie) Dague. Son in law Paul Leighton, Daughter in law Patricia Morrison. Audrey is survived by her brother Michael Perkins wife Sheila, sister Maureen Lange husband Rick, Sister Rhonda Dunning and husband Jesse. Audrey is also survived by her five children. Sharon A. Leighton of Lewiston, Basil E. Morrison spouse LeAnn of Pownal, Gregory R. Morrison of North Yarmouth, Brenda Thomas of North Yarmouth, Leanna J Stackhouse spouse Keith of North Yarmouth.

Audrey was also loved deeply by her 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. The family would like to extend thanks to Affinity Hospice for their kind compassionate care of our mother. Graveside services will be held in the spring on June 6, 2026 @ 11:00 am at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
