As a child David and family lived on Fore Street when the working waterfront was active and not yet developed. Dave grew an affinity for the waterfront and spent his lifetime living and working close by. Dave worked the waterfront in different capacities from unloading fishing boats, Harbor Fish Market as a delivery driver and later at Barber Food Company.
Dave enjoyed fishing and his most memorable excursion was fishing with brother Dana off the I-295 bridge over Veranda St, where Dave scored the only catch of the day! Dave loved watching the Kentucky Derby enjoying the excitement and tradition of Derby Day at Scarborough Downs, playing the Trifectas with his brothers.
Dave had been living on Vaughn St in the Bramhall Hill section of the West end where he never turned down an opportunity for a walk with family and friends serving as a tour guide along the Western Promenade. He enjoyed learning about and telling the histories of many of the Victorians. His favorite being the West Mansion. He loved listening to music and recently grooved to the sounds of the Atlantic Rhythm section.
Most of all Dave was a kind, considerate, compassionate brother and human being, generous to a fault. Often sharing what he had with others less fortunate.
RIP sweet brother. You are still in our hearts and minds, still making us laugh because your stories will live on.
David is survived by sister Debra & Craig Stewart (Elizabeth), Brothers: Dana & Della Ronco (Shannon), Daniel Ronco (Daniel and Logan) and his partner Donna Chamberlain, Christopher Ronco and Thomas & Michelle Ronco.
