Born May 13, 1942, in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert and Marion Kuhn Strauch. David graduated from Scranton Central High School and Keystone Junior College. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1968.
He was a talented artist and spent his career pursuing his artistic endeavors. David lived in New York City for several years before moving to Maine. In addition to his art, he enjoyed traveling and was a devoted friend to both people and animals.
David is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Slater of Scranton, PA and Laurie Clay of Ocala, FL, four nieces and nephews, two great nieces, a great nephew, and many friends at Bayview Heights in Portland.
