Fernand Marcel Gauthier

He was born in Lewiston on July 5, 1953 the son of Wilfred and Simone (Emond)

Gauthier. Fernand attended school in Lewiston and served in the US Marine Corps for three years.

He lived in New Britain Connecticut and worked at the mills there for many years before returning to Maine where he retired from Gates Formed Fiber.

In 1987 he married Virginia and they raised their three kids in Auburn.

Fern loved watching the Red Sox and New England Patriots. He enjoyed any time with his family especially his new granddaughters. When he was well he liked going on walks with his wife, fishing, camping and taking rides to the casino with his daughters.

He is survived by his wife Virginia (Leonard) Gauthier, His three daughters; Julie of Lewiston, Patti of Bowdoin, Chrystal of Livermore Falls and God Daughter Lynn L'Heureux of New Hampshire. His three sisters Jeanine Jones of Monmouth, Diane Lowell of Lewiston and Eveline Wright of Auburn. His four brothers Gerald of Florida, Leo of Arizona, Daniel of Alabama and Raymond of Alabama. Fernand also leaves five grandchildren: Jason, Ashley, Trinity, Jasmine and Jada. He was predeceased by Ronald (Mac), Joseph and Richard Gauthier.

Services will be held on December 22 at The Ramada Inn in Lewiston from 11 to 2
