Husband of the late Shirley (Pelletier) Glazier and son of the late Pearl McCaslin Glazier, of Winslow and Earl E Glazier of Fairfield. Fred was born February 13, 1942 in Waterville, Maine. Fred graduated from Hinckley High School, in 1960 and spent 3 years serving in the United States Air Force. He was known as a hard worker and worked a variety of jobs throughout his adult life in support of his family. Outside of work, Fred loved nothing more than to be the center of attention and was well known for his colorful & outrageous sense of humor. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle well into his sixties and loved animals, playing golf, and watching the Boston Red Sox. Shortly after his wife’s passing he was diagnosed with dementia and moved into an assisted living facility until his passing. Fred is survived by his sister Ann Penland of Ogden, Utah, her four children and her 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sons, Tony and Steven, and three daughters, Gayle, Diane and Gwen, and 9 grandchildren.
Fred’s ashes are to be interred 4/8/2025, with his wife Shirley’s ashes at the New Maine Veterans Cemetery at 163 Mount Vernon Rd, Augusta Maine.
