He was born on August 17th, 1956, in Boston, Massachusetts. Jimmy grew up in Halifax, Massachusetts. He graduated from Silver Lake High School in Kingston, MA, in 1975. He worked many places throughout his life; his favorite being a custom cabinet maker, and doing environmental cleanup for Clean Harbors, which brought him to Maine.
He greatly enjoyed yelling at hockey games (GO BRUINS!), and blasting "The Rolling Stones" at ungodly levels for all to enjoy. Jimmy would always say "If it's too loud, you're too old!"
He is preceded in death by his father, James Richard Egan, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Walsh, his daughters, Cathryn Egan-Arnold, and Leticia Dorazio, his Ex-Wife, Catherine McDermott, his Grandsons Jacob Dorazio, Curtis Arnold, and Samwise Valentine. He was also the beloved brother of Kevin, Kathleen, Mary Ellen, and Michael, as well as an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Maine Medical Center and Gosnell House for the care and compassion they showed Jimmy in his final days. In addition, thank you to the staff at Huston Commons for bringing us back together.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in their honor to any animal rescue of your choice. He loved all creatures great and small.
If anyone has any pictures, stories, or memories to share, his daughters would be eternally grateful if you would share them.
