She was born in Boston, MA on April 15, 1952 a daughter of the late Reverend Perley C. and Jean L. (Brackett) Odell. She graduated from Portland High School as a member of the class of 1970.
Karen worked for New England Telephone; she then became a CNA at which time she began working for Seaside Nursing Home. She also worked for the Curtain Shop in South Portland as well as the Sentinel Answering Service. Her last job was working as the receptionist for the midnight to 8 shift at Park Danforth, which she loved.
She is survived by four sisters Dorris Barbour and her husband Paul of Sebring, FL, Annette Kruger and her husband David of Casco, ME, Susan Odell of Old Orchard Beach and Nancy Gilson and her husband Michael of Farmingdale, ME and her brother Rev. George E. Odell and his wife Roberta of Clinton, AK. She also leaves four nieces and a nephew.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Deering Pavilion, 880 Forest Ave., Portland, ME from 2 – 4 p.m.
