

She was born on September 17, 1954 in Portland, ME, a daughter of the late Richard P. & Lorraine C. (Fournier) Wood Sr. She attended local area schools and graduated from Westbrook High School. After high school, Kathleen attended college before deciding on a career in food service.
Kathleen worked for both Mr. Bagel on Moulton Street and Dunkin Donuts on Congress Street both in Portland. She loved and enjoyed her customers and the feeling was mutual.
She enjoyed art very much, and was a talented painter and sketcher. She also never missed her “Soaps”. She was also considered the Mom of the neighborhood; always have more children than just hers. She would help anyone who crossed her path.
She is survived by her longtime companion Leo Dyer and her children Sara Wood and her companion Brian Santamore, Joseph Lewis, Rayne Mallory and her husband Aaron all of Portland. She also leaves her brothers Richard Wood Jr. and his wife Penny and Michael Wood, her sister Linda Wood as well as several nieces Noel and Brody Wood and nephews Skylar and Koby Osgood and Richard Wood III. She was also the sister of the late Robie and Diane Wood.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge, 22 Poland Street, Portland.
