It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Baby Sister, Laurie Anne Smith, 59 years old, after a brief illness. She died peacefully at her home in Freeport on February 15, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on November 1, 1965, the youngest child of Lowell Sr. and Gwendolyn Smith. She attended Greely High School and spent her career as a phenomenal cook. Spending the last 10 years at Tyler Technologies. Always a twinkle in her eye, she was known for her loving hugs and her favorite sayings ‘Punkin’ and ‘Just Sayin’. Her greatest accomplishment was her beautiful daughter Sierra Rose ‘Sea Bugs’.
She was predeceased by her parents Lowell and Gwen, and her nephew William ‘Billy’ Winslow Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Sierra Rose. Her Siblings, Pamela Walker (John), Lowell Smith Jr. (Michelle), Michael Smith (Michelle), Lawrence Smith (Lauretta), Lee Smith (Christina), Patricia Dunn (Bradley). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, her large extended family, and friends galore. Per her request, no service will be held.
