Lois Arlene Merry
22 February , 1953 – 5 November , 2019
Portland, Maine. Lois A. Merry (Dyer) of Saco, died on November 5, 2019 at Northern Lights Mercy Hospital after a brief illness with cancer. She is married to Bryce Merry of Saco.
Lois was born in Waterville, Maine on February 22, 1953. She is the daughter of Kenneth & Charlene (Esancy) Dyer of Freeport.
Lois had many jobs throughout the years. The one that she loved the most was taking care of the horses that she boarded at her farm in Freeport.
Lois was a very kind hearted woman. She gave to the less fortunate all the time. She was never one to say no to her kids when they would bring home new animals or humans and said that everything and everyone needs to be loved.
Lois had many hobbies she enjoyed such as gardening, canning pickles, relish, stewed tomatoes, apple sauce and anything else that she could. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. She would make things for her family and friends.
Lois is survived by her husband Bryce Merry of Saco, daughter Judi Pace (Probert) & partner Kris Rickett of Freeport, granddaughter Korissa Lavers & partner Jason Rule of Standish. She has 9 Step Grandchildren & 4 Step Great Grandchildren. Brothers David Dyer of Bangor, Paul & Dottie Dyer of Lyman, Donald & Nancy Dyer of North Yarmouth, Howard Dyer of Freeport. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Lois is preceded by her son Albert Toby Probert, parents Kenneth & Charlene Dyer, sister Gloria Doughty, brother Kenneth Dyer Jr.
She will be buried at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Freeport.
