He was born in Naples, ME on March 22, 1932 a son of the late Forrest R. and Thelma H. (Harriman) Frank. He married his wife Shirley on May 25, 1953 and remained married for sixty-two years before her passing.
Raymond worked for E. W. Noyes Moving for most of his life before retirement. At age seventeen Raymond, with his Mother signing for him, enlisted in the US Army and went on to serve his country; he was wounded in the Korean War and was lost in action for a while before being found. He earned an honorably discharged and a Purple Heart.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW at Woodfords Corner in Portland and the American Legion in Scarborough. He loved country music, going for rides and playing cards. He lived for the love of his family; he loved helping people and would drop everything to help someone.
He is survived by his four daughters; Sandy Boothby of Portland, ME, Valerie Chadwick and her husband John od Portland, ME, Terry Reynolds and her husband Craig of South Portland, ME and Melissa Frank of Portland, ME. He also leaves eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren as well as a sister Evelyn DiPietro of Scarborough, ME and his partner Carol Waterman of Scarborough, ME.
He was a father of the late Raymond H. Frank and Kevin M. Frank and the grandfather of two late granddaughters and he was also the brother of the late Doris M. Davis.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11 am at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress Street, Portland, ME.
