Anne Judell Thompson

Anne J. Thompson, of Raleigh, passed away on September 11, 2021. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on November 23, 1937, she was a graduate of Duke University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Thompson, Jr., in 1997.

Surviving are her best friends, her sons, Robert Kirk Thompson, III of Los Angeles, CA and his wife, Ellie, and Scott Andrew Thompson of South Bend, IN and his wife, Wendy; six grandchildren: Katie, Jill, and Tracy Thompson of Los Angeles, and Max, Duncan, and Charlotte Thompson of South Bend; a sister, Susan J. Morgan of Deerfield, IL; a brother-in-law, Gary K. Thompson of Baltimore, MD; and a cousin, Valorie J. Thompson of Washington, DC.

Anne served her extended family – the members of North Ridge Country Club – as membership secretary for 27 years, retiring in 2013.

A memorial service will be held at Benson Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 3:00pm. Following the ceremony, there will be a reception and celebration of life at North Ridge Country Club at 5:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the Membership Care Committee, Benson Memorial United Methodist Church in Raleigh.
