Ricky and I were so saddened to hear of Dale's untimely death.  We both have known Dale for many years and have always thought so much of him.  He had such an infectious smile.  We did not know of his death or funeral until Friday night - so sorry we were not present to support you and honor him by attending the funeral.  Be assured that you are all in our prayers for grace, strength, and tender mercies - the kind that only our precious Lord can supply.

I had the pleasure of working with Dale when i was working at the DWQ Raleigh Regional Office across the street from Radiation Protection.  Dale went out of his way to help us and to explain some of the complicated scientific and regulatory issues.  His character made working with him a real pleasure. The Physics Department and North Carolina State University have lost a treasured alumnus.  Our thoughts are with Dale's family and loved ones at this difficult time.  For his entire life, Dale was an enthusiastic and inquisitive student of the universe.  As a college student his lively approach to learning infused an upbeat spirit in all of his classes.  As an alumnus he continued to learn, maintaining an active interest in research undertaken at NC State.  Dale will always be remembered as the type of person who makes being a teacher a joy.  We too will miss him dearly.

I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss hearing Dale pray during the corporate prayer time on Sunday mornings at Calvary PCA church. 
I always felt blessed to hear his prayers; and they encouraged me to pray aloud, too. 
Oh, the joy he now has to speak face-to-face with his Lord; and hear His voice!

It won't be the same at Radiation Protection without Dale. He was always willing to help anyone that needed it and was very well known in the Health Physics community. He will be missed.

It was my honor to know Dale for the better part of 20 years through our mutual work in State Government.  He was a pleaseure to work with and always the consumate gentleman.  Thorough in his efforts, he served this great State with pride and effiency.  The State has lost a true servant, we have lost a gentle friend, and his family has lost a loving husband and father.  He will be greatly missed.  May the pain of his passing be tempered knowing that through his life's example, he truly made a difference.

Dale will always be a dear friend.  He was a joy to be with, and had the greatest sense of humor (the man could whip out a rap song!). I remember him for his integrity and his constant witness. I thank God for our crossing paths on the way to glory!

I know Dale from our many holiday gatherings in Florence with my brother Stuart, Stu's wife Susan (and Dale's cousin), Uncle Dick and Aunt Susan.  Dale had such a strong faith and he and I enjoyed talking about our faith together.  I know he is at peace with the Lord Jesus Christ.  He lived a great life in service to others.
