Betty Marie Olsen

Betty was one of twelve children born in Caspian, MI to Albert and Edith Westphal. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Olsen; brothers, David; Bruce; Merle; and Jack Westphal; and sister, Carol Westphal.

Betty is survived by her son, Eric Olsen and his fiance' Diane of Raleigh; daughters, Kathy Barnes and her husband, Michael of Raleigh; and Julie Blake and her husband, Walter of Apex; brothers, Gary; Glen; Orville; Ray; and Ronald Westphal; sister, June Rooney; 5 grandchildren, Joshua; Matthew; Carlie; Alex; and Maya; and 2 great grandchildren, Jaylen; and Olivia.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, 5010 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Suzanne, and the Right at Home Caregivers, especially, Kim, Shantaye and Armesia.
