Bill was both a top-notch engineer and friend. I met him when I was working for Boeing in Oak Ridge Tennessee back around 1989. I was working there as an environmental engineer and he was doing CAD work.  He became very good friends with my husband at the time, Wirt Courtney, as well. Wirt has also passed since then and I hope we all can see each other someday again.  I pray that Tina and the children will all be richly blessed and comforted. I know he loved you all so very much and missed you greatly when he had to work away from home.

Billy and I went to school together. We had a friendship that is hard to explain. Its was the best kind of friendship we enjoyed each other sense of humor and truly wanted the best for each other. Billy and I would not stay in touch as he left Asheville and we would meet by chance a few times thru the years . The years would fall away and we would laugh as we had in high school.  
Tina I do not know you very well and we meet only once but bless you for the love and care you gave to Billy. I see Billys smile in your children and a twinkle in their eyes this must be the mischief that Billy was famous for in highschool. I will miss Billy in my heart. Just learned of Bill's (FLASH) passing.  I worked with Bill for a few years at Siemens; he was such a great person and it was an honor to have had him as a friend.  I will search for his star out here in way far West Texas!

I had only worked with Billy for just over a year, but during that time he was a fountain of knowledge and wisdom.  I will sincerely miss his sense of humor and the lively evening discussions.  His character and strength were an inspiration for me.

Billy came to my house twice to share his appreciation to Greek and Mediterranean food.  I worked with him for 10 years and feel like I lost somebody from my own family.  My wife and I will miss him.
