Born September 21, 1946 in Pulaski County VA. She was the daughter of Joe and Thelma Burke
Brenda grew up in VA where she attended Pulaski County High School. She entered and won many beauty contests.
Brenda moved to Raleigh NC in the early 1970s where she raised two daughters and opened the first parcel shipping business in the Raleigh area called "The Mail Box Plus" She owned and operated the business for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Tommy and Johnny Burke
She is survived by the love of her life Robert Martin, her 2 daughters Stacey Yates(Mychel) and Sarah Niswander. Two grandchildren Emmerson Thornton (DJ) and Ashton Niswander.
Funeral services will be held On Friday May 16, at the Brown Wynne Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the funeral service at Raleigh Memorial Park.
