Receiving the news of Chris passing was extremely sad, celebrating his life was full of memories and good times with old friends.  I haven't seen or talked to Chris in years but have fond memories of pulling many pranks on Chris throughout the years often making him super mad!!  Our friendship began in elementary school at Vena Wilburn and we both lived in Starmount during those years.  He enjoyed being with friends and even though he never married or had children he hung with those of us that did.  We enjoyed lots of fun happy times in the snow and on the beach.  
My heartfelt sympathy to his family who he loved and always included during conversations.  May God give peace and comfort to all who will miss him in the days ahead.    

So sad to hear about Chris Faircloth. He practically lived on my couch during the 1990's. Chris consistently spoke so highly of his family.  Though I have not seen him in years, we kept in touch on and off through his insurance needs and the occasional messenger chat. Will miss his quirky, unique personality. I hope he found his beach.

Your time on this earth was much too short.  I know your loss will be felt deeply by your family and friends.  May you Rest In Peace.

What I will remember most about Chris is his sweet, child-like excitement for certain things in life.  Other than the obvious - going to the beach  or watching his Tarheels play - I think Chris got more excited about impending snow storms than any kid I know.  He also loved him a good meal at Las Margaritas and, if you made the mistake of going without him, you would hear about it for weeks. Chris was so sweet with animals. He loved them and they loved him back - whether it was his precious Lexie, Temple and Adam's dogs, Cosmo and Roxie (and, more recently, Rocky), or even the stray cat on the lot at Capital Ford.  Chris had such a big heart for those he loved.  I will be forever grateful to have had the honor to know him and I like to picture him doing that stupid (but adorable) little dance he would always do when he was happy because you couldn't help but smile. I hope that Chris Faircloth is up there,  right now, dancing and making others smile, while knowing that he was loved (and will be terribly missed) by so many.

I met Chris  during our high school years.  He always made you feel welcomed and  was always  excited to see you!  He was a good friend and genuinely cared for his friends.  I worked briefly at Capital Ford with Chris and he took pride in his career and always lended a helping hand when needed.  After moving away from area, I enjoyed Chris’s updates about Myrtle Beach on Facebook, seemed like he was the same guy I left 20 years ago.  I am very sorry for our loss, he will me missed here.  I pray for your family’s  comfort in the years to come.

I hope you each find comfort in knowing so many were touched by Chris’ fun-natured personality and smile, as well as the love he had for each of  you. It was great fun growing up so close to your family in the neighborhood and watching Chris always being Laine’s “little brother.”  My deepest condolences to each of you.

I was so sad to hear about Chris passing. We met many years ago in high school. Chris was ALWAYS so kindhearted and fun loving. I am happy we had the opportunity to reconnect via social media and truly enjoyed his beach updates as they almost always made me chuckle. It was very apparent that he adored his family. Please know that I will be praying for the family tomorrow and in the coming days. Rest easy my old buddy, and thank you for being my friend.

Chris, we just learned this afternoon through Christi’s Facebook connection about your untimely passing. We remember you as a fun-loving child and regret we never got to know you as a young man. We believe you had a good heart. We send our sincere condolences to your family. God bless your soul and may you Rest In Peace. We will be sending a donation to SPCA  in your memory.



So sorry to hear of Chris's passing.  We went to school together ever since middle school. He was a really nice person always. I will miss his funny posts about the weather and the beach. I know he will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace Chris.

 Our Tanner family has known your for years.  You were best friends with my sisters kids, Jamie, Jason and Jenny Burns.  You would come over to my Mom and Dad's home aka's , Nana and Pop and always felt at home.  You will be missed by so many and thankfully I had the pleasure of running into you about 10 years ago and you said, " you are one of those Tanner's, my reply was yes.  You gave me the sweetest hug even if we were just in the Food Lion Store and we talked about old times.   Asking God to be with your loved ones during this time of loss, you will be missed.

I met you at capital ford when there were 4 people doing that job.  When I left you were doing that job alone and you made sure each and every customer was taken care of and happy. We connected the very fist time we spoke. You always had a smile and love to laugh. Then you gave me the nickname of pops. We joked and carried on about it and somehow you made sure it stuck. You were a dedicated employee and a true friend. We did a lot  work together and had a great time doing it. I want to say thanks , I’m going to miss you more than you know and I hope you have your shorts on, tanning lotion and your toes in the sand.

Chris so sweet and  loved to talk. He will answer was always happiest at the beach and he so naturally reach over and hug us. I loved him and he will always be missed by us   I’m sure he’s at the ocean with big waves  and walking on the sand  with beautiful big sky and he’s at home.  Love to you Chris.

I meet Chris many years ago at Carolina Beach, He came up to High Tide and Carolina Fishing Pier, he was always so kind and welling to help out in anyway he could,  he became good friends with my family and he shared how he loved his family.
