He is survived by son, Jeff Robinson (Brenda Austin) of Wake Forest; granddaughters, Meagan Robinson of Apex, Pam Shaffer (Paul Anastasi) of Wake Forest, and Sherry Matthews (Phil) of Anniston, Alabama. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Kaylee Shaffer, Anthony Anastasi, Viktor Matthews, and Zoe Matthews and two feline companions, Fluff and Angel.
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Marion Robinson; brothers, Roger and Gordon Robinson; and sister, Noreen Robinson Connor.
Mr. Robinson was born September 20, 1926 in Endicott, NY. He served overseas in World War II and retired from IBM. He loved playing golf with friends and especially the North-South Tournaments. He also enjoyed watching football, time spent with family and playing his game of 2 Dollar Donald with them. He was a member of University Baptist Church in Charlotte.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
