Edna C. Young, 86, of Raleigh, NC passed away August 28th, at her home after a lengthy illness. Retired from a career as a Registered Nurse she spent her time with her family, her cats and the music she loved.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Rebecca Young Anderson She is survived by daughters Priscilla Speed, Ramona Young; son, Thomas Young and his wife Mary Beth Kristoff; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Brown-Wynne Millbrook. Burial will follow at New Hope Christian Church, 2779 NC Hwy 98 West, Louisburg, NC. The family requests casual dress for all functions.
