Evelyn Duncan Landsberg

Evelyn passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Sept 14th. She is now reunited with her husband Al and daughter Sharon in the kingdom of heaven. She was also preceded in death by her parents Milford and Magdalene Duncan and brother Norman "Duke" Duncan.

Evelyn enjoyed ballroom dancing with Al in their younger days. She also loved to travel, especially to casinos and places with historical significance. Her most loved trip was her cruise to Alaska. She often said that she would take that trip again if she had the chance. Evelyn loved the Carolina Hurricanes almost as much as her husband Al. She would watch every game and often yell at the television as every good sports fan does. Her favorite player was Jordan Staal, and she was so happy that his brother Eric came back and signed a one-day contract so he could retire as a Hurricane. We are certain that she will still be watching every game from heaven.

Although Evelyn resided in Raleigh, NC for the majority of her adult life, she still considered West Virginia home. She loved going back to her hometown to visit with her life-long friends.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters Christine Allen (Charles) and Theresa Stow (Greg) and grandchildren Colin Allen, Monica Allen (Mitch) , Regan VanderGast, Lyndon Good (Bobby), Natalie Stow (Sam) and Stella Stow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Wake County SPCA to honor her love of animals and her beloved cat Trix. He was her devoted companion for the last few years.
