Forrest Edward Pitts

Forrest was married to Joan Jones on July 14, 2007; they were married for 15 years.

Forrest worked as an electrician for over 30 years. He enjoyed architecture, traveling, DIY projects and being with family and friends. He had been an active member in church, serving as a deacon and a song leader.

Forrest is survived by his loving wife, Joan Jones, daughter, Robin Pate and husband Keith, grandsons, Randall Pendergraft and Jadon Pate, and a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Forrest is preceded in death by parents, Robert Lee Pitts and Roxie Mae Ousley Pitts his first wife Geraldine Pitts and eleven brothers and sisters.

The celebration of life will be held at 11:00am on July 16, 2022 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home located at 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. Reverend Michael Wolff will be officiating, followed by interment at Oakwood Historic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the family home on Friday, July 15 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses and other medical staff at Duke University Hospital that cared for Forrest in his last 13 days. They did an exceptional job of taking care of him (and us) and even their peers cheerfully helped support them as they cared for Forrest.
