He was a proud graduate of Central High School and Temple University, where he competed in fencing and majored in math. After meeting and marrying the love of his life, Linda Sommer, at a Catskills resort in 1969, Hank started working for Vishay Measurements Group and was quickly promoted to Vice President. When tasked with scouting a location for a new facility in 1978, Hank chose Raleigh and moved the family south. He successfully ran the company as CEO until his retirement in 2000. Hank was an integral part of the Raleigh Jewish community through leadership at Beth Meyer Synagogue, the North Carolina Holocaust Council, and helping to found the Raleigh Jewish Federation. A lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, Hank is survived by Linda, his wife of 51 years, children Sherri Landau Hammerman (Ted) and David Landau (Leslie), grandchildren Ava, Scott, Dean and Rachel, brother Dr. Steven Landau, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
