Jean (Peggy) Faris, 81 passed away on June 12, 2014 and is now with her savior Jesus Christ and reunited with her beloved husband, Brick and her loving parents, Hilda and William Saunders. Peggy was the most loving, giving and wonderful mother and grandmother to her surviving family, her son Wayne and his wife Sarah and their daughter Kristy. She loved her church, Mount Vernon Baptist Church and loved all the friendships she made there. Peggy had fond memories of the many trips her husband Brick would plan that they went on together with their church groups. Peggy will truly be missed by us all.
Her family will receive friends Tuesday June 17 from 1:00-2:00pm at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 7600 Falls of the Neuse Rd., Raleigh with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will follow the service at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery, Durant Rd., Raleigh.
