Josephine Pauline Hayes Naylor, 94, passed away on October 6, 2016. She was born on December 21, 1921 in Henderson, NC. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Naylor, son, Steve Naylor, and brother, Robert U. Hayes.
She is survived by brothers, Willard Hayes (Ethel) and Winfred Hayes (Marie), granddaughter, Alison Perkins (Brandon), and great grandchildren, Brian and Kendall Perkins.
Josephine lived most of her life in Raleigh and Zebulon, NC. She worked as a caregiver to the elderly and was a devoted wife and mother. She said “she loved to be where the action is" which usually meant downtown Raleigh. She loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and was an avid doll collector. Josephine was a skilled fisher woman and loved being at the beach.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., Millbrook Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh. Entombment will immediately follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Autism Society of NC.
