Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  Two memories come to mind, Cliff, when I think of your Mom -- I will always remember how much she enjoyed buying outfits for Forrest and Michael when they were little, and how much she liked attending their music concerts when they were older. I meet Julia in 1991 almost 20 years ago when i started work at NCHS. She was a joy to work with. And though retire for a couple of years will greatly be missed.  Rest in peace

Julia was one of my most treasured co-workers and friend for over 35 years.  We shared many, many hours of hard work, laughter, and family events, such as graduations, weddings, the births of our grandchildren and many more. I know all of you will miss her greatly.  But I'm sure she left you with some wonderful and beautiful memories that will stay with you forever.

My heart goes out to you all. I worked with Julia for some years and knew her to be a warm, kind, and gentle person. It was a pleasure to work with her. We are all better for  having known her. She leaves a great void, and not just in her family. My prayers are with you all. The Lord be with you.

To the Raynor families- I will always have fond thoughts and memories of the countless hours spent your Raleigh home. The home made by Mr and Mrs Raynor was always open and inviting and thus it became one of the favorite hangouts for Clifford's circle of friends. I never heard a voice raised in anger and had nothing but kindness while visiting there.  I know that the past couple months were hard on everyone and you did not get to spend the quality time you would have wanted, but I know that throughout Mrs. Raynors long life everyone was close. Miss Julia Raynor was a precious teacher for me, as I first started to learn about classifications. Her committment and calm way of interacting with the international class of students coming from different countries has been an example and a very pleasent way of dealing with a difficult matter. 
She has contributed in establishing a working network of colleagues from all over the world, and this is for sure an achievement to be very proud of. Please accept my condolences.

I first met Miss Julia about 15 years ago when I came to North Carolina for a class she was teaching.  I found her to be warm, pleasant and a genuine southern bell.  Over the years that first impression was proven true... Miss Julia was a true lady and she will be greatly missed by many.  My deepest sympathies to the family of this wonderful woman.
