

Lucille (Lucy) Marea Franklin Fahrman passed away August 10, 2010 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Lucy was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, October 4, 1928 to Vera Metcalfe Franklin Anderson and Walter Franklin. She graduated from Eastern High School in Baltimore, Maryland.
Lucy, previously of Long Point, Pasadena, Maryland, and later, Appomattox, Virginia, lived in Raleigh, NC., for the last several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Walter Franklin Sr; sister-in-law, Ethel Hush Franklin; nephew, Brian D. Franklin; and grand daughter, Julie Christine Fahrman.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Johnny, John (Jack) Albert Fahrman, Sr. She is also survived by her two sons, John (Jay) Fahrman & James (Jim) Fahrman and his fiancee, Ann Opperman. Three daughters, Anne Corey and her husband, Daniel; Sue Bathgate; and Margaret (Beth) Pressley and her husband, Thomas. Nine grandchildren, Jennifer Fahrman Tronzo; Melissa Corey Haddad and her husband, Taurik; Robert Fahrman and his wife, Jessica; Michelle Corey Brown and her husband, Daniel; Jessica Fahrman, Gretchen Pressley, Shawn Corey, Benjamin Fahrman and Thomas Pressley. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Devyn Tronzo, Maria Haddad, Anthony Tronzo and Laith Haddad. And a very special nephew and niece, Richard Franklin and his wife, Mary and their children, Kim & Amy and their families, and Sherryl Franklin Shea and her husband, Kerry and her children Jason & Cara and their families.
Viewings will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609 on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a funeral service immediately following the viewing.

The family also wishes to thank Shivoni Borah and the amazing Hospice of Wake County. Without their support and compassion in the last weeks of Lucy's life, we would have been totally lost.
