Mary was born November 15, 1930 in Owensboro, KY to the late Elizabeth and John Devins. She was an accomplished ballroom dancer and an avid bridge player. Mary enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her most memorable trip was a 50th wedding anniversary cruise with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Demaree, daughter Pam Demaree, siblings John Devins Jr, James Devins, Ruth Ellen Clark, George Devins, Richard Devins, Margaret Ann Gibson, and Nancy Dunn.
She is survived by her children Ed Demaree Jr. of Isle Palms, SC, his children Megan Bosse (Eric), Drew Demaree, and Kendal Demaree; Tricia Dean of Shelbyville, TN, her daughter, Jackie Dean; Cindy Whitaker of Raleigh, NC, her son Landon Whitaker (Camille), great grandson, Wesley Whitaker and daughter, Claire Whitaker; Susan Demaree of Raleigh, NC, her children, Elizabeth Cottrell and Austin Cottrell. She is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Wathen and Rita Cecil (Frankie), both of Owensboro, KY, along with many nieces and nephews.
