Michael Todd Markov, beloved son of Mary and Jim Markov, was born January 6, 1969, in the old Rex hospital on St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh, NC. He lived most of his childhood in the Oak Park neighborhood and has many of his childhood friends to this day. Todd graduated from Athens High School and East Carolina University.
Todd loved people, especially family and friends. He often had a story or joke to tell them in order to cheer them up. He loved music, baseball, and giving others gifts. Todd attended many concerts and had an extensive vinyl record collection. For years he hosted a baseball game on the 4th of July. He attended major league baseball games in cities across the United States. He was fiercely loyal to his friends and was able to maintain them for most of his life.
Todd was predeceased by both sets of grandparents. He is survived by his parents, his brother, Jim Markov, his sister Karen Beesley and her husband Jim, his nephew, Sam Beesley, and his niece, Erin Beesley.
There will be a service, “Remembering Todd”, at the Brown-Wynne funeral home on Millbrook Rd., East, Raleigh, Saturday, June 15, at 3:00 p.m.
