Darin Dale Garrett

DARIN DALE GARRETT 6/26/1966 ~12/24/2014 Darin lost his battle with cancer on December 24, 2014 at his home in Chico, California. Darin was born in Red Bluff, and graduated from Red Bluff Union High School in 1984. He was a sports fanatic, and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a die-hard San Francisco Giants and 49ers Fan. He especially enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with friends and extended family. Darin is survived by his partner of eight years, Virginia (Pooh) Wallace, daughter, Amanda Garrett and her mother Kristina Lipuma all of Chico, California. He is also survived by grandmothers, Dorothy Lourence of Redding California and Helen Levin of Red Bluff. Darin is survived by his mother, Diann Bosworth of Sparks Nevada, and his father and stepmother. Dale and Janet Garrett of Red Bluff. He is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Natalie and Lance Bickford of Red Bluff, stepfather; Dennis Sweet, brother, Darrell Sweet and sister, Danielle Sweet all of Sparks Nevada. He is survived by his Aunt Carolyn Micke of Reno,Nevada, daughter Heather Cox of Woodland, CA and uncle and aunt, Cliff and Beverly Garrett of Prineville Oregon, and daughter Deidre Garrett of Bend, OR. Darin is survived by nephews; Jacob Rind of Sparks Nevada and Andrew Lipuma of Chico. He is also survived by nieces Kaili Rind and McKaila Sweet of Sparks Nevada and Alysa Ison and Maizy Bickford of Red Bluff. Darin's magnificent smile and gigantic heart will be forever remembered. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in his name. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on January 3, 2015, at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers, 816 Walnut Street, with a reception to follow at 1415 Bulkeley St. in Red Bluff. The family requests that those who are attending the Celebration, in tribute to Darin, wear San Francisco Giants and 49ers attire.
