Donna Marie Early

Donna was born Nov. 15th 1939 in Red Bluff CA to parents Henry and Marie Moon of Corning CA. Donna grew up in Corning with her parents and two brothers Jim and Ed, and two sisters, Verna and Reathel.

Donna married Warren Gilbert Gates in 1959 and moved to Red Bluff. They had one daughter together and were married until Warren’s death in 1987. In 1991 Donna married Francis Early and enjoyed being a part of his very large family until his passing in 2005.

Donna had a 30 year career as a school bus driver for the Red Bluff School District. She loved her job and the many children her life touched through the years. She also loved living in Red Bluff and always looked forward to the rodeo.

Donna Early is survived by one brother, James Moon, of Corning CA, her daughter Dawnetta, son-in-law Brad, her grandchildren, Kayla, Brian, Kaitlyn and Daniel, and one great granddaughter Sofia plus many nephews and nieces.

Donna devoted her life to lifting others up through prayer, encouragement and quiet acts of kindness. Her love was a constant source of comfort to all. She will be greatly missed!

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday August 14th, 2025 at High Point Assembly, located at 625 Luther RD, Red Bluff CA with a reception following.
