I just today learned of Rich's passing.  I had not received any emails for some time so I wrote one a few weeks ago.  Early this morning I did a google search only to encounter my worst fears.  Rich and I were friends.  As a matter of fact, I considered Rich to be one of my best friends. We talked of much of our lives and shared our miseries and happiness. I came by to see him about a year ago. I spent the night and we had our usual great chat.  His inability to speak caused no imposition for us.

Damn, I am going to miss Rich a lot!
