She attended Fresno schools graduating from San Joaquin Memorial High School Class of 1948. She also attending Fresno State College.
She married William (Bill) S. Dunham, Jr. and had four children: Kelli, Greg, Clio and Andrew. They moved to Red Bluff in 1964. She started her career working at several positions with Tehama County; ultimately as the Tehama County Conservator and Public Guardian for over 25 years retiring in 1995. She was very active in the community and was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church and a proud member of the Sacred Heart Choir.
She was predeceased by husband Bill Dunham; son, Andrew William Dunham; and second husband, John Mertens.
She is survived by daughter, Kelli Hinz of Oakland; son, Greg Dunham and wife, Alice of San Francisco; and daughter, Clio Muir and husband, Rick of Auburn. Also seven grandchildren: Heather Bourdaux, Sam Hinz, Peter Muir, Clare Protzman, Anni Muir, Honora Dunham, Alea Dunham; and 13 great-grandchildren Max Bourdaux, Malcolm and Lachlan Hinz. Jackson and Sydney Muir, Carter, Campbell and Charlotte Protzman, Bodie and Lila Muir Osur, Rita and Jean Power, and Gustav Dunham.
Importantly, we are so grateful to our Mom’s wonderful, kind, and caring Caregiver Barbara Shaver, as well as, Stacy Prichard and Karyn Harvey and special friends Joan Blakesley, Sharon Chambers and Kelly Ryan. All contributed to a safe and happy life for Mom in the home she loved.
Private Internment and a Memorial Mass to be celebrated at a later date.
